Everyone is talking about the "Sphere" and the upcoming residency of U2...but The Venetian is letting Las Vegas get immersive with U2 soon! According to a report from our friends at Channel 3, The Venetian has will have a new experience for the ultimate U2 fan called "Zoo Station: A U2:UV Experience".

The announcement was made last night here in Las Vegas with the Sphere all lit up dedicated to the experience. This will truly give fans the chance to get up close and about as personal as you can with the band and it's history.

It's a first for Las Vegas on all different levels, but the common denominator seems to be "immersive"! The sights, the sounds, the music...all under one roof to experience the Grammy Award winning band.

Getting "Immersive" With U2!

According to the story, the exhibit will feature, "...12,000 square feet of interactive exhibit space across two floors." While you're there, you'll be able to view rare early concert footage of U2 and photos of the band that covers over 5 decades.

All in all, it's one way to get the full effect of what U2 will bring to Las Vegas when they open their already sold out residency at the MSG Sphere next month! "Zoo Station" will also offer up merchandise exclusive to the experience, and offer art work and more.

If you want to mark your calendars now, this immersive experience will open on September 28th and be open Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 9pm. Oh, and check this out, if you already have tickets for U2's residency, you will have "priority" access to the second floor of the exhibit! SCORE!

With all this going on, you'd think U2 would be a natural to be the halftime entertainment at Super Bowl next year at Allegiant Stadium! Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

5 Times Bono Was Even Better Than The Real Thing

Bono celebrates his birthday today (May 10.) Since the release of U2’s 1980 debut album, the man born Paul David Hewson has evolved into one of the best frontmen of all time.

So, how do you pay tribute to someone like Bono, who prides himself on wearing his heart on his sleeve? By having a little fun at his expense, obviously! (For real, even Bono knows how ridiculous he can be sometimes.)

Without further ado, here are five times Bono was even better than the real thing. (Get it?!)

Spinal Tap

For U2’s massive PopMart Tour, the band had a giant prop in the shape of a lemon covered in reflective mirrors from which they emerged night after night. That is, of course, until the lemon malfunctioned and U2 got stuck inside one fateful show.

The Devil

As part of the ZooTV tour, Bono would dress head-to-toe in gold and don red horns to become MacPhisto, a pseudo-devil in a not-so-subtle disguise that would frequently place prank calls to a then-President George H.W. Bush. It was good times, to say the least.

Your Cuddling Significant Other

On the DVD for Elevation 2001: Live From Boston, Bono pulls a fan from the crowd while performing “With Or Without You” and just cuddles with her while he sings.  He caps off the song with a sweet kiss, which creates the perfect fan reaction. Honestly, it's hard not to feel all warm and fuzzy after watching this clip.

The Beatles

Calm down, Beatle-maniacs! No one is quite like The Fab Four, but Bono’s cover of “I Am The Walrus” from the film Across The Universe is quite good.

A Pro Cyclist

Okay, okay…this one, on the surface, might be in poor taste considering Bono’s nasty cycling accident in New York City’s Central Park back in 2014 that resulted in a crazy amount of surgery. However, in 2016, Bono raffled off an afternoon bike ride in support of his charity (RED), and the ride went off without a hitch!
