You don’t have to be on a diet to make a clean food swap. At the same time, you don’t have to become a strict vegetarian or vegan to make a clean food swap. In fact, Americans are making those healthy choices every day in every way.
More Americans Are Choosing Clean Food Swaps
Have you ever decided to have chicken or turkey tacos instead of steak tacos? Have you been choosing almond or soy milk instead of dairy milk products lately? Do you make your sandwiches with whole grain bread instead of white bread? Then you are making clean food swaps all the time.
LaserAway recently conducted a survey of 1,006 Americans to determine what kind of healthy food swaps we’re making, if we’re making any at all. The findings are pretty impressive. 69% of those surveyed say they make healthy food selections as often as possible. People want to feel and be at their best, and this is why they make these clean food swaps.

The More Nutritional Foods Americans Are Choosing
As a matter of fact, the survey shows that more Americans choose chicken, turkey or black beans for their protein substitutes. Instead of consuming regular dairy products, people are using plant-based milk, Greek yogurt, and cooking with avocado or coconut oil.
Additionally, instead of salty pretzels, corn chips and potato chips, lots of folks are turning to alternative chips. Instead of making a pasta or white rice dish, many Americans are making that clean food swap for riced cauliflower. Correspondingly, cauliflower crust pizzas are becoming more popular as well.

Here’s Why Many American Do Not Make That Clean Food Swap
The LaserAway survey also shows that price is often a determining factor in whether or not people choose the healthier food substitute. We all know that prices at the grocery store have skyrocketed over the past couple of years. With this in mind, when we’re budgeting to feed our families, a box of pasta or a bag of rice is a lot cheaper than the more nutritional substitute.
Hey, I’m not a doctor, I just play one on the radio (just kidding). But, it just makes sense to want to feel and be at your best every day. So, whatever foods makes you feel better, that’s what you should go with.
