Wrapping up the season with a 71-66 win over Nevada, the #21 UNLV Lady Rebels continue to win breezing through the Mountain West Tournament. First on the hit list was another rematch with UNR in round one. Easily beating the Wolf Pack again by a score of 84-57, UNLV moved on to the next round.

Next up was a match up with San Diego State. Led by Senior guard Essence Booker's 22 points, UNLV got the win 71-68. Two other Lady Rebels also scored in double figures as the team seems to be playing better and better.

The Lady Rebels (30-2) now hook up with Wyoming for the Mountain West Tournament Championship game later tonight at 7pm. One win away from moving onto the next level and that's the NCAA Tournament. Even with a loss, UNLV moves on, but what a nice way to close out play at The Thomas & Mack!

UNLV has been hot all season long winning the Mountain West Conference undefeated at 18-0. And the team is currently on a 21 game win streak! Congrats goes out to Head Coach Lindy La Rocque, only in her 3rd year at UNLV, earned Mountain West Coach of the Year honors. Three players on this year's team won All-Conference honors as well as UNLV’s Kiara Jackson who was recognized as the "Sixth Player of the Year" winner.

It was a totally banner season for this year's team, however the work isn't even close to being done. Hoping to extend that win streak tonight and then continuing on into the BIG DANCE where "Selection Sunday" is this weekend. That's when the Lady Rebels will find out where and when they start tournament play.

It's been quite a while since UNLV had a basketball team like this...so continued success to our UNLV Lady Rebels!
