The official teaser is out for the new "Scream" movie, "Ghostface takes Manhattan."  It hits the big screen in early March, 2023.

MY story idea? Ghostface learns that he can make more money posing for pictures with tourists, and becoming an influencer OnlyFans by giving makeup tips to teens, than he can stabbing teenagers. He decides to become a good guy - then someone pees on the Subway.  He's angry but shows you how to use blue eyeshadow in spite of his rage! No - they didn't go for it.

Scream took an 11-year break between Scream 4 and Scream 5, (although they didn’t call it that, that's basically what it was), but the franchise is not wasting any time getting on to what’s been called Scream VI. Barely more than a year after Scream (5) hit theaters, Scream VI is coming to town — well, to New York City to be specific. If Jason Voorhees can take Manhattan, then why can't Ghostface?

After spending almost all of the previous five films in and around the area of the fictional Woodsboro, California, Scream VI is heading for the bright lights and big city of Manhattan in the Big Apple!  Yes, "Ghostface takes Manhattan" is the new film — and in the first trailer we see how easy for everyone’s favorite (?) slasher villain to blend in on a subway car on Halloween filled with people in costume. Yes, you have to love the holidays!

"Ghostface Taks Manhattan" hits the big screen in early March, and centers around "the four survivors" of the last movie as they "leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter."

The cast is pretty impressive in Scream-land: Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin), Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed), and longtime franchise veteran Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) return to play their characters from previous installments. Sadly, Neve Campbell declined to reprise Sidney Prescott reportedly over pay disputes. Newcomers include: Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Henry Czerny (Mission: Impossible), Liana Liberato (Dig), Dermot Mulroney (Section 8), Devyn Nekoda (Utopia Falls), Tony Revolori (Servant), Josh Segarra (Arrow), and Samara Weaving (Ready or Not).

Perhaps in Scream VII they will take my story advice. In the meantime, here's the creepy trailer. GET OFF THE BUS!!!
