Bob Odenkirk was rushed to the hospital yesterday (July 27) after collapsing while on set for AMC’s sixth and final season of Better Call Saul.

After the 58-year-old actor collapsed during the New Mexico shooting for the show, crew members called an ambulance to take him to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment, Rolling Stone reports. The cause of the collapse hasn't been revealed yet.

Better Call Saul
centers around Odenkirk’s character, lawyer Saul Goodman, who was first introduced in Breaking Bad. The prequel series follows the trajectory of a shifty Jimmy McGill as he transforms into criminal defense lawyer Saul Goodman, who showcases snippets of his conman beginnings while also working towards as a respectable attorney.

The role has garnered Odenkirk four Golden Globe nominations and four Emmy nominations. He also recently appeared in the lead role for action film, Nobody, which arrived in March.

Odenkirk described his action role, “I was at the wonderful 87eleven gym, surrounded by the top stunt actors in the world training, including people like Keanu Reeves and Jason Statham and Halle Berry,” he said. “I’m a comedy writer, who is gradually sufferingly making my way into this discipline. I was just feeling embarrassed at how bad I was when these pros are 25 feet away.”

The 13-episode final season of Better Call Saul is slated to premiere next year.
