It's official! Merriam Webster just announced the 2019 words they're adding. The famed dictionary will now include 533 new words. Junior editors this year submitted their choices, which explains some of the more millennial-driven vocabulary. I mean, vocab.

If you're wondering how the process works, here it is. A team of editors read pages and pages of print and online publications. They search for words that are becoming commonplace enough to be considered for the dictionary. They collect their submissions, turn them in to the "gate-keeper" Stephan Perrault, and he makes the final cut.

Some of the favorite picks for this year are "dad joke", "fatberg" and "vacay". Could you use them all in a sentence, please?
