Facebook is Paying a Subtle Tribute to Harry Potter
True Harry Potter fans know that this week is an important one, as it marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
In honor of the joyous occasion, Facebook is offering its own small tribute to the series we all know and love. If you mention any of the four Hogwarts houses found in the series (Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw) on Facebook, the name of the house will be displayed in its respective color.
You’ll also notice sparks and other magic effects if you scroll over the name, which makes it seem like your cursor is a magic wand, and it works on Smartphones as well as a computer.
J.K. Rowling posted an update on Twitter, where the Boy Who Lived was also being commemorated via glasses and lightning bolt:

For a little stroke of motivation, a reminder to all that J.K. Rowling was rejected repeatedly by publishers before releasing this novel. If anything, that shows you that you should keep going – no matter how many times you get knocked down.
