Sammy Hagar and The Circle are coming to Las Vegas this summer.
Hagar was just in Vegas last year. He performed his solo show at a residency at the STRAT. Now he's back with his band, The Circle, to rock out for one night only. The show is going to be at Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort on July 15th.
The band line-up is star-studded.
Hagar is bringing with him Vic Johnson (guitar), Michael Anthony (bass) and Jason Bonham (drums). Johnson is known for his work with The Busboys and Hagar's former band, The Waboritas. Before that he was a session musician and a member of the heavy metal band Sound Barrier.
Of course we know Michael Anthony best for his work with Van Halen. He was inducted with the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his tenure as bassist. He met Hagar during that Van Hagar era of Van Halen and the two have been working on and off ever since.
Then we have Jason Bonham. Son of the legendary John Bonham. Like his late father before him, Jason Bonham has played drums for Led Zeppelin for several years. Jason is one of those savant kids. He's been rocking the drum kit since he was five years old. Definitely an awesome addition to The Circle.
When it comes to the setlist, get ready for some rocking variety.
Since Sammy Hagar and The Circle has members from Led Zepplin, Van Halen and Montrose, you can expect hits from all three bands. Additionally, Hagar will bring some of his solo hits to the stage. It's going to be like four concerts in one. And it's going to be awesome. Grab your tickets (or win them this week on KKLZ) and get ready to move. Here's what you can look forward to. - Wendy
