A study was conducted by lawnstarter.com ranking the top cities with the best local foods. Now you're thinking, the city you live in probably ranks in that top five. Right here in Las Vegas, we have to rank in the top five for sure! With it being the entertainment capital of the world, you'd think it would break the top five! Did your city make the list?
Now the study ranked the "best cities to eat local food" and to do so, considered a bunch of factors into their ranking. They factored thinks like community-supported agriculture, farm stands and markets, bakeries, butcher shops seafood markets and more! They even considered craft breweries and wineries.
So with all these things considered and before we get to the top five, I figured I would give you the worst city. That would be Anchorage, Alaska! We would never have thought Anchorage would rank so low with the fresh salmon, crab, lobster there! Of the two hundred cities considered, they were at the bottom with eight of the bottom eleven cities all coming from Texas, which again is shocker.
Below are the top five best cities to eat locally! We have more on this story and more in today's edition of "A Few Things You Should Know!"
