It’s another holiday weekend: Labor Day in Las Vegas!
It’s the week where we acknowledge the summer season is coming to a close, and soon people will start to feel the crisp autumn air cover the valley.
Every holiday weekend, Vegas ranks high on the “most visited” destinations in America. For this Labor Day, the most popular destinations include Seattle, Orlando, Anchorage, New York and Las Vegas, according to American Automobile Association.
So, if you plan to drive out to Las Vegas if you’re from California, Utah, Arizona, etc. then be prepared to have some sort of relief. According to AAA, gas prices will be similar to last year. But, there are some concerns with gas prices rising due to hurricane season and the holiday weekend approaching.
Along with this expected number of tourists — which our economy appreciates — there will be some more congestion on the highway, especially if you’re driving from Southern California.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, next Thursday around 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., drivers can expect the roads to be busier. The article states that Interstate 5 between Los Angeles and Bakersfield will be 88% higher than normal.
Labor Day weekend will see a plethora of amazing concerts and shows with marquees across the city sparkling with major names like Lady Gaga, Weezer, Erika Jayne, Jelly Roll, Jeff Dunham, Drake, Counting Crows, the B-52s and more — just to name a few.
To sprinkle on this weekend of Las Vegas fun, the pool parties and night clubs will certainly be busy and fun with the expected number of tourists pouring in to Sin City. There will be free shows on Fremont, tons of immersive experiences and great gastronomic adventures with a wide variety of restaurants.
