Man Calmly Escapes Bear Looking For Food In Hotel

A man calmly escaped a bear looking for food in a hotel. That would not be the most peaceful way to start the day.

Can you imagine waking up in the middle of the night and there's a bear looking for food just feet away from you? If you panic, it's all over. So, you have to calmly and quietly try to exit the room without the bear noticing you're there. Thankfully, he was able to do it!

The incident happened at a hotel in Western China and the receptionist was given the scare of his life. Hey, that's what happens when you sleep on the job!

In the viral video, you see the receptionist sleeping snuggly on the floor with a blanket behind the front desk with a bear walking just feet away from him looking for a meal. Thankfully, it didn't notice him or else he could have ended up being said meal. The large brown bear wakes the man up during its quest for food and although drowsy, he notices right away what woke him up. Calmly, he waits for the bear to be distracted before grabbing some things off the table and quietly and calmly escaping from the area. It appears like he grabbed his phone before exiting. I think you just have to leave it! You can come back for your phone if you make it out alive. Don't get caught trying to grab it. Just go, man!

According to South China Morning Post, the animal entered the hotel around 3 am and was seen on surveillance camera opening the door to the hotel! It's actually really impressive and strange how its able to do it with such ease. It's not one of those things where a door was accidentally left open, or the bear came in through a window. No, it opened the door and then walked right inside.

Thankfully, the bear made enough noise to wake the man up; otherwise, this could have ended much, much differently. Commenters were quick to point out the amazing sight of watching a bear open the door. It sounds like it's pretty common to see brown bears in the area, and they typically don't mess with people. I bet you that's the last time he's going to sleep there. I imagine he's going to be wide awake going forward, no matter how early it is.
