Youtuber Rocks ‘Thunderstruck’ On PVC Pipes
Inspired by the “Blue Man Group”, this YouTuber rocks AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” just using PVC pipes! It truly is pretty amazing and enough to be featured on The Mike & Carla Morning Show. Once you witness the video, the setup this guy has is pretty impressive.
Using different sizes of PVC in length and circumference and a couple of plastic spatulas, you have that unique sound. Again, the same thing you would get at a Blue Man show…but it is cool hearing it as he pounds it out. And the thing is that the guy makes it so effortlessly.
A box, some PVC and you are rockin’ “Thunderstruck”!
Just think about it…if you could pull it off, what song would you learn to play. On the other hand, it really doesn’t matter does it because it would sound awesome. My first thought was “In The Air Tonight”! Can you imagine how that would really sound on something like this?
The way the guy explains it, build a wooden box, drill some holes, fill them up with different sizes of PVC pipes and you’re ready to rock. Now it might take some time to learn how to play effectively, but it all seems pretty easy. Clearly he is a pretty good percussionist, so take that into consideration.
All in all, it’s a great way to break the ice if you were new at work and want to perform at the next party if they have a talent show! So view the video here, and let your imagination go wild on all the possibilities.
