Free Pet Vaccines And Microchipping Event

Pet owners! Mark your calendar for Monday, December 12th, 9am-1pm, and make plans to bring your dog and/or cat to the Animal Foundation campus for FREE pet vaccines and microchipping.

According to an article written by News 3 Staff on News3LV.com, the Animal Foundation at 655 North Mojave Road has partnered with Petco Love, a national non-profit organization, and 24PetWatch, to assist pet owners who do not have the financial means to properly vaccinate or microchip their dogs and/or cats.

These vaccines and microchips will be available on a first-come, first-served, basis. Per the News3LV.com posting, "Free vaccines, including DAPPv Canine, HCP Feline, and rabies vaccines, will be available for dogs and cats."

And, according to a Twitter post by the Animal Foundation, @animalfndlv, a lost pet brought in to their location which has been properly microchipped is four times more likely to be returned to their pet owner. So, if your furry friend has not been microchipped yet, this would be a good time to get it done.

This free pet vaccines and microchipping walk-in clinic is just one of the many services provided by the Animal Foundation. They were founded in 1978, and according to their website, they are "one of the highest volume single-site animal shelters in America."

Their mission statement goes on to point out that last year alone, they saved over 15,000 lost, homeless, and often mistreated animals. Lost and stray animals collected by the City of Las Vegas, the City of North Las Vegas, and Clark County Animal Control are all brought to their location on Mojave Road.
