Bono is looking like the latest high-profile rockstar with a memoir on the way.

In a new interview with U.K.'s The Sunday Times, former U2 manager Paul McGuinness said the iconic frontman is in the process of finishing an autobiography. McGuinness, who was U2's manager form 1978 until he retired in 2013, also said there's no ghostwriter involved in the book, and Bono is penning the memoir himself.

There's no current timeline for release, however, the book supposedly should've been completed in 2019. Of course, when you're as charismatic as Bono, getting an extension probably wasn't too difficult.

Back in September 2019, The Irish Sun reports the frontman netted a €6.5million ($7.13 million USD) deal for his autobiography. While there have been a number of U2 books written and released in the past, including 2009's U2 by U2, this would be the first time Bono himself would write a book exclusively about his life.
