As Hall & Oates were scoring hit after hit in the '70s and '80s, John Oates was...well...scoring.

Oates said in an interview with Page Six that as far as the amount of women he slept with back in the day, "I'm sure it was thousands, I've lost track."

Oates added that there was still some sort of intimacy saying, "It was much more innocent. I used to meet girls in various towns and sort of have a relationship. I might see them and then see them six months later."

As for why little has been said about how he got around, Oates logically explained, "...if you weren’t a rockstar during that time, there’s no way you can comprehend what it was like. There were no cell phones and people taking pictures of everything you did. There was no social media."

That does certainly make sense, but can you imagine what it would have been like had social media been around in the excess of the '70s and '80s?
