Colorado firefighters have been battling to contain the Lake Christine wildfire that began in early July, and as a thank you, local resident Neil Diamond paid them a visit at their command post over the weekend.

The official Facebook page that was created to help keep residents up-to-date on the wildfire shared the video below along with the statement that Neil and his wife, Katie McNeill, “...stopped by the Incident Command Post to meet and thank firefighters. Firefighters were treated to a sing along of "Sweet Caroline".... an incredible event for the team and crews.”

Earlier this year, Diamond retired from touring due to being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, so seeing a performance like this was definitely surprising.  Way to be a great citizen and supporting first responders!
