Bret Michaels was getting ready to perform with Poison in Nashville when a medical emergency took him to an area hospital.

TMZ is reporting that audience members claim members from Poison got on stage Thursday night (6/30) and let the crowd know Bret had to go to the hospital for a bad reaction to a medication. As a result, the other band members announced they wouldn't be able to perform their set.

The band is part of a stadium tour with Def Leppard, Motley Crue, and Joan Jett.

It's unclear how long Michael will be unable to perform, but the band is scheduled to play Saturday in Florida and Sunday in Mississippi.

Poison will be joining a reunited Motley Crue and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Def Leppard and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts on the road this summer for the highly anticipated and twice delayed Stadium Tour.

Poison, of course, has been more than a reliable draw for many years now. In honor of this tour finally happening, scroll through the gallery below of Poison doing what they do best: Owning the stage.
