As the frontman of Slipknot, Corey Taylor has bellowed out some fearsome lyrics over the past two decades. But when he takes the mask off, he definitely gets more melodic, as we've seen via his work with Stone Sour and his recent solo debut. He's even covered song pretty mainstream hits at his solo shows, including Poison's ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

So, Corey Taylor likes Poison. But what does Corey Taylor think of Night Ranger? If that's a question you have found yourself asking, he answered it this weekend at Wisconsin's Rockfest.

Taylor was one of Rockfest's headliners, along with Korn, Rob Zombie, Limp Bizkit, Staind, Anthrax, Danzig and Body Count among others.  The lineup also had some more melodic rockers, including Slaughter, Steel Panther and Night Ranger. Taylor joined Night Ranger on stage for their classic jam "Don't Tell Me You Love Me." The band shared a clip of the performance on their Instagram, saying, "'Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends' Thanks to @coreytaylor for joining us yesterday at @rockfestwi !!"

Brian has been working in pop culture and media for about three decades: he’s worked at MTV, VH1, SiriusXM, CBS and Loudwire. Besides working as a writer and an editor-in-chief, he’s also appeared on air as a pundit, guested on radio shows and hosted podcasts. Over the years, he’s interviewed the surviving members of Led Zeppelin, the members of U2, Beyonce, Pink, Usher, Stevie Nicks, Lorde… and is grateful to have had the chance to interview Joe Strummer of the Clash and Tom Petty.
