Doobie Brothers, Michael McDonald Reuniting for 50th Anniversary Tour
The Doobie Brothers and Michael McDonald are reuniting for a 50th anniversary tour.
The 30-date tour kicks off June 9 in West Palm Beach, Fla. and wraps October 10 in Houston, Texas. It also marks the first time in 25 years McDonald will tour with his Doobie Brother bandmates Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons and John McFee. (See full list of tour dates below.)
Tickets for the 50th anniversary tour go on sale to the general public starting Friday, December 6, at 10 AM local time at LiveNation.com.
This news comes the same year the Doobie Brothers received their first nomination in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band is currently in third in the Rock Hall Fan Vote behind the Dave Matthews Band and Pat Benatar.
The Rock Hall fan vote lasts through January 10, 2020 at 11:59 PM EST. The top five artists from the fan vote will make up the “fans’ ballot” and be counted among the other ballots from the Rock Hall voting committee. Fans can vote for artists in three different ways:
-By searching “Vote Rock Hall 2020” or any nominee name plus “vote” on Google to cast a vote
-By voting at RockHall.com
-By voting in person at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland
