Def Leppard is beginning their Sin City residency next month at Zappos Theater, and singer Joe Elliott is pretty excited. For 40 years the band has been touring around the world, from arenas to stadiums to nightclubs and everything in between. Usually it's a one or two night deal, so this residency offers a few things their other gigs haven't.

It's probably nice to not have to set up or break down equipment on the same day, or spend hours in a tour bus between gigs, but the thing the band is really looking forward to? Something we locals take for granted: sleeping in the same bed every night.

Joe Elliott said that's an especially good thing here in the desert, considering what he goes through every night to keep his vocal chords lubricated.
