The Pancreatic Action Network puts on an important event around the country called the PanCAN PurpleStride. This is a 5k walk to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer research. These funds help with providing education, treatments, support groups, dietary plans and so much more.
PanCAN’s Donations, Mission And Las Vegas Chapter
Their website states that since 2003, 208 million dollars has been raised around the U.S. to put an end to this horrific disease. Each Purple Stride event contributes to this number and spreading awareness to those who may not understand. We hope that one day, a cure will be discovered that will put an end to the pain and suffering.
According to their website, “Our mission is to take bold action to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer by advancing scientific research, building community, sharing knowledge, and advocating for patients.”
Las Vegas became a sea of purple on Saturday, April 27, at PanCAN’s PurpleStride 2024 event! We so grateful that the annual charity 5k walk returned but this time in a new location. Attendees were able to stroll with loves ones at the beautiful Wayne Bunker Family Park, which is located at 7251 W Alexander Rd.
Las Vegas’ Biggest Donors – Thank You
PanCan.org states, the Las Vegas chapter raised 73% to goal which is still very outstanding. Our monetary goal was $155,000 and we raised $112,397. The best part, there still time to donate. You can make donations HERE.
We want to highlight all of the survivors that made it to PanCAN’s PurpleStride 2024 walk and to the ones who were not able to make it. Your time fighting whether two months or 22 years does not define your pancreatic validity.
