The Beatles: Details on New ‘Let It Be’ Reissue

The Beatles have announced a new reissue of their Let It Be album, which coincides with the three-part documentary The Beatles: Get Back.

Due out October 15, the Let It Be reissue, produced by Giles Martin, will be available in the following formats:

-Standard CD
-Standard LP
-Deluxe 2 CD
-Special Edition LP Picture Disc
-Super Deluxe 5 CD/1 Blu-Ray
-Super Deluxe 4 LP + 12" EP

Per the Beatles' website, "All the new 'Let It Be' releases feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original 'reproduced for disc' version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes. The physical and digital Super Deluxe collections also feature 27 previously unreleased session recordings, a four-track 'Let It Be' EP, and the never before released 14-track Get Back stereo LP mix compiled by engineer Glyn Johns in May 1969."

The Let It Be reissue comes out a little over a month before the premiere of The Beatles: Get Back hits Disney+. As we previously reported, the Peter Jackson-helmed documentary will premiere on the streaming service on November 25, 26 and 27. Each installment is about two hours long. The documentary, itself, draws from 55 hours of never-released footage of The Beatles in the studio, shot between January 2-31, 1969. This footage came from the original filming of Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s documentary Let It Be, which ended with the band's famous rooftop concert.
