Many of us knew that Peter Schilling's hit "Major Tom" was a sequel to the David Bowie song "Space Oddity". What we may not know is that there is another version of Schilling's single, done with German lyrics. Called Völlig Losgelöst, it was even more popular than the English version, and went straight to #1 on the charts. Schilling is from Germany, so it's not surprising this version was so popular.
