Miley Cyrus Says She’s Working on a Metallica Covers Album
Miley Cyrus is continuing her covering ways and says she’s working on a Metallica covers album.
In a new interview with Interview Magazine, Cyrus said, “We’ve been working on a Metallica cover album and I’m here working on that. We’re so lucky to be able to continue to work on our art during all of this. At first, it felt uninspiring and now I’ve been totally ignited.”
It’s not currently known when this album will see the light of day, but it’ll certainly get metalheads talking.
Cyrus, of course, has a long history of performing rock covers. She notably covered Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” during her set at 2019’s Glastonbury Festival where she also performed a snippet of Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog.” This past weekend, she included covers of the Cranberries’ “Zombie” and The Cure’s “Boys Don’t Cry” in her Save Our Stages set. She also performed at “I Am The Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell” in 2019 where she provided the vocals on the Temple of the Dog song “Say Hello 2 Heaven.”
