I grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan where I graduated from Western Michigan University.
My start in radio was in the small city of Otsego, Michigan. I worked in Victoria, Texas for the next eight years, then on to the bright lights of Las Vegas where I’ve been since 1990. I’m an inductee of The Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Everyone wants to know how that happened? Even the emcee at the induction ceremony that night said “Bob…….Bishop”?
My daughter, Lauren, is married to a great guy and is a Cardiac ICU nurse at Houston Methodist Hospital. My son, Connor, is a Paramedic first-responder for AMR here in Las Vegas. I’ve got two kids to take care of me in my older years…which aren’t too far away.
I enjoy playing golf and riding my bicycle.
