Carla Rea is the host of The KKLZ Morning Show on 96.3 KKLZ, where she has been entertaining listeners for more than 25 years—12 of those with KKLZ. A Gracie Award winner, Carla got her start in talk radio "when talk radio was still fun," as she puts it. In addition to radio, Carla is a seasoned comedian who has appeared on Conan O'Brien, Evening at The Improv, Showtime, and in comedy clubs across the country. She also worked as a light-feature reporter for KSNV/NBC Las Vegas, going behind the scenes of Las Vegas shows and restaurants. As a content creator for 96.3 KKLZ, Carla brings her signature sarcastic, cheeky, and unapologetic voice to articles covering Las Vegas, pop culture, and everyday life.

Carla's co-host is Shawn. You may have seen him on Channel 13's "Las Vegas Morning Blend" for years. You may have heard him on other radio stations. Perhaps you've been behind him in a drive thru. Now Shawn Tempesta can be heard every weekday morning with Carla Rea on 96.3 KKLZ. Shawn moved to Las Vegas in 2006 and has been in love with the city ever since. We'd say he's been here his entire adult life, but he doesn't act like one. But what he lacks in maturity, he makes up for in wit and a big heart, helping raise tens of thousands for St Jude Children's Research Hospital and emceeing for multiple area charities including Goodie Two Shoes Foundation. Shawn is married to the love of his life Sammi and has two incredible boys – Colin and Mario.
