It seems like Halloween was just yesterday.  But the Internet has already moved on to CHRISTMAS candy...and they did it by state! So what is Nevada's favorite Christmas Candy? That's the story that The Mike & Carla Morning Show brought up this morning in "A Few Things We Think You Should Know" segment. But before we get to that, what other states were mentioned when it came to Christmas candy?

According to a story on Candystore.com, they listed each state in alphabetical order and what candy each state favored when it came time for Christmas. The shocking news is that "candy canes" are not the favorite, in fact, their popularity is waning over the past few years!

Keep in mind that they were able to deduct what candy each state favored by getting over 16,000 responses to this survey...which might not seem like a lot, but it did determined the final data. researchers also checked in with candy manufacturers as well to get even more data on this important subject.

It's nice to see that favorite candies vary by each state...for example, in the state of Georgia, they do love their Snickers, but in Indiana, they favor the Reese's Cup Minis! One candy that made the Top 5 that we found strange was Starbursts. Normally not associated with Christmas in any way, shape or form. However, there was a Christmas candy "worst" list and you should know that non-peppermint candy canes also made the list this year.

Other candies that people really dislike at about this time of the year...Christmas nougat candy, Reindeer Corn, cherry cordials, and Lifesavers! As we had mentioned before, candy canes...not getting any more popular. In fact six states had them at #1 last year, but now it's down to two:  Louisiana and Oregon.  You can listen to the segment below, or to see the most Top 5 Most Favorite Candies during Christmas...you can scroll down further below.

All the details on this and other stories came up this morning and you can listen to it all below...and enjoy!
