Saddest Christmas Movies

This is the time of the year to be holly and jolly...with everyone feeling the Christmas spirit. However, there is a list out that ranks the saddest Christmas movies of all time! How can this even happen during the time of the year that we are watching family-friendly Christmas movies that tend to put a smile on all of our faces? Well guess what? It has and you've probably have seen some of these movies!

According to an article put out by Lifehacker, they listed 20 of the "saddest" Christmas movies of all time...now whether you agree or not, most of us have actually seen most of these. We've watched them and maybe didn't even realized how sad they actually were.

One movie that sticks out on this list is ranked #7 titled "Jack Frost" starring the one and only Michael Keaton. Keaton's character comes back to life in the form of a snowman on Christmas day, a year after his death. First of all, he has to convince his son that it's actually him before moving on to re-connect with him. As the movie progresses, it's up to his son to find a way to get his snowman-dad to colder weather so he doesn't melt! I know right?

While that movie didn't crack the Top 5, you might be surprised at which one did. It actually has a happy ending, but because it tends to be an emotional roller coaster, it's been labeled a "sad" Christmas movie.

So before you scroll down to see the Top 5, think of your own favorites and what Christmas movies you would consider as "sad", but even so, tend to watch them every year. Heck, maybe you've watched them and didn't even realized they were considered sad!

Awww, see, now that's sad.

#5 "THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL"

We think that's all you need to know on this one and there's a reason as to why it came in at #2 on the list!
