This year marks the 50th Anniversary of woman flying in the U.S. Navy. To commemorate it, the Super Bowl LVII flyover will be done by an all-women crew! This is the first time in history that this has ever been done!
To make this happen, three U.S. Navy tactical aircraft squadrons will do the flyover for the big game. As the National Anthem, which is being performed by eight-time Grammy winner Chris Stapleton comes to an end, the all-women crew will conduct the amazing flyover, over State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona!
The squadrons will take off from Luke Air Force Base near the stadium!
The first eight women began flight school back in 1973. Of those eight, six earned their Wings of Gold in 1974!
Such an amazing and historical event for women pilots around the country! It doesn't matter if you are, whether at the game witnessing the flyover in person, or nearby, seeing a flyover is an exhilarating feeling! Every time you experience one, it's like a new experience!
