Make it a Blockbuster night! You heard right, the place you went to buy movies and seek out a companion, pre-dating apps, is now opening again but as a pop-up bar.

Bucketlisters and New Gold Empire are opening the first of it’s kind in Los Angeles, California. We wish it was in Vegas but hey, LA is only a four hour drive.

The immersive speakeasy will be an exclusive ticketed experience located on Melrose Avenue. The exact address is 7174 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046.

The general bar has a $45 per person general admission which includes two “throwback” cocktails. If you are a lover of all things breakfast they will also have a Blockbuster brunch.

The Blockbuster Brunch is $55 per person and includes one entrée and one “throwback” cocktail. December 10, starts the official brunches which will take place on Saturdays and Sundays.

This new pop-up is set to open on Halloween which is Monday, October 31. Sadly, their 90’s Halloween Party on Monday, October 31 is SOLD OUT!

Their slogan is, “Be kind, please rewind!” This experience is to pay homage to the good-ole days, before streaming platforms, where you had to actually go to a physical location to buy a movie.

Guests who purchase a ticket to this experience will be greeted at the front with a membership card. But this time, your card is not for checking out movies, it’s to get a drink from their full bar.

Just like the ’90s, guests will be able to roam around to reminisce about all of their favorite movies. Did we mention how the cocktails are themed after your favorite ’90s and 2000s movies? Groovy, we know.

One of their Blockbuster bartenders will create your drink as you browse their candy and popcorn area. We do want to mention that this event is 21+. You can find out more details on their Blockbuster brunch HERE.
