It’s NHL All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas!

  • First All-Star Game

Before the first official NHL All-Star Game in 1947, the concept of pitting the NHL’s elite against each other was used in three games staged to benefit the families of former NHL stars Ace Bailey (1934), Howie Morenz (1937) and Babe Siebert (1939).

  • Golden Knights At Home

T-Mobile Arena, The Golden Knights’ home, played host to the NHL Awards™ and NHL Expansion Draft™ in 2017 and Games 1, 2 and 5 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2018.

  • Gordie Howe

Gordie Howe played in the most career NHL All-Star Games. “Mr. Hockey” appeared in 23 All-Star contests, registering 10 goals and 19 points.

  • First NHL All-Star Game

In 1947, the first official NHL All-Star Game called for the defending Stanley Cup Champions to play against a selection of All-Stars from the other five teams. Since then, the format has changed to pit First Team All-Stars vs. Second Team All-Stars; East Division vs. West Division; Campbell Conference vs. Wales Conference; Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference; North America vs. the World; a player Fantasy Draft, where All-Star players themselves determined the composition of each team; and most recently a three-game 3-on-3 tournament between divisions.

  • VGK All-Star Player

Max Pacioretty represented the Golden Knights in the 2020 NHL All-Star Game in St. Louis, helping the Pacific Division capture the $1 million title. Pacioretty scored once in the Final of the 3-on-3 competition as the Pacific topped the Atlantic Division 5-4.

  • The Great One's Huge All-Star Record

Wayne Gretzky is the all-time leader in career NHL All-Star Game points with 25.

  • Skills Competition

Where: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas and outside
Events: In addition to tradition competitions at T-Mobile Arena, the NHL announced that it will have its first-ever outdoor All-Star Game skills competition events. The NHL Fountain Face-Off will be staged at the Fountains of Bellagio and The Las Vegas NHL 21 in ’22 skills competition will shut down part of Las Vegas Boulevard.

The Fountain Face-Off will involve eight participants traveling by boat to a “rink” in the fountain and shooting pucks as quickly as possible into five targets. The NHL 21 event will be blackjack-themed with players shooting pucks at an oversized deck of playing cards.

At T-Mobile Arena there will be: Fastest Skater, Save Streak for goalies, Hardest Shot, Accuracy Shooting and the return of the Breakaway Challenge.
