The Mike & Carla Morning Show

Weekdays 5:00am - 10:00am

75% of all pet owners admit that they will be dressing up their pets for Halloween this year! Which Halloween pet costumes are best suited for your pet?

So, on The Mike & Carla Morning Show, we actually thought about it from the perspective of the pet…do they really want to be dressed in costume?

We all think how cute it might be for everyone else to see a little Weiner dog outfitted in a “bun” with fake ketchup and mustard, but does the dog really appreciate the “cuteness”? As you look at different pictures of pets dressed on Halloween, we get the sense that the owners might be more into it than the animals themselves.

Think about it, they really can’t hold the trick-or-treat bag, they can’t eat the candy, and they can’t even say “trick-or-treat” when they get to the door…so why? Some of the more popular costumes for pets seem to be the obvious, doctor outfit, the afore mentioned “hot dog” on the weiner dog, chef costume complete with the chef’s hat!

Not sure what kind of pet you have or even if you are thinking of dressing it up this season, but if you are, there seem to be a lot of costumes to choose from! A lot of pet owners are quick just to buy a costume for their dog, cat, or even their guinea pig…however, many owners will be adventurous and try to make the costume themselves. Either way, it’s all about the fun you have this Halloween with kids and your pets! Happy hunting for the best Halloween pet costumes.

The M&C Morning talked about this and quite few other things in this morning’s segment of “A Few Things We Think You Should Know”…but if you want to see the Top 5 most popular pet costumes, then scroll down for a few ideas. Listen to the segment and then check out the top costumes for animals…but more importantly, enjoy and thanks for listening!
