National "Chocolate Chip Cookie Day" is coming up later this week and it's time to celebrate. Got to be honest, I don't think there is any cookie better than a well baked chocolate chip cookie...especially with a cold glass of milk. I always knew it was going to be a great day when I would come home from school and my mom had baked a batch.

Now with all that said, we come to find out that the chocolate chip cookie is America's favorite cookie and we will eat at least 21 cookies a month! Some even admit to even eating more than that...now they might not all be eating chocolate chip cookies, but probably!

41% of those polled in the research said that they would consider themselves a "cookie eating" expert and how does that happen? Well, some say that you have to at least eaten over 300 cookies in a year! If you do the math, eating at least 21 cookies per month, to be considered a "cookie eating" expert, that would take a little over a year to get your fictitious degree in cookie eating!

Now seeing that the chocolate chip cookie is America's #1 cookie, what does it take to be the perfect chocolate chip cookie? Some would agree it needs to be soft and chewy, just the right amount of brown sugar and chocolate chips...and to be eaten right after they come out of the oven!

The good news through all this is that over 61% say that if you're having a bad day, a "good" cookie can turn your entire day around and turn that frown upside down! And isn't that the reason we enjoy cookies?

So, outside of the famous chocolate chip cookie, what are the other cookies that American's favor as we get ready to celebrate National "Chocolate Chip Cookie Day"? Well scroll down and check out the Top 5 and see if you agree or not...enjoy!
