Brat Pack lovers rejoice!!!

When you live in Las Vegas, it's not often you get surprised, or even excited, when a new act comes to town. Unlike many other cities, we are so used to celebrities living here, working here, coming here on vacation. So you saw Nicholas Cage at the store? Who hasn't? Celine Dion was walking around your neighborhood? Join the club.

But this time it's different. For a few reasons.

First, it's Rob Lowe! The 80's heartthrob we couldn't get enough of. Those dreamy eyes and coy smile just had women melting in their movie seats. Young Blood, St. Elmo's Fire, Wayne's World. So many great movies featuring Lowe. In fact, that's pretty much all many of us knew about the guy. He was a movie star.

But Rob Lowe isn't coming to Las Vegas just to talk about his movie career. He will indeed tell stories about his tenure in Hollywood as one of 80's Rat Pack members. But Lowe is also planning to talk about what happens behind the scenes in Hollywood, according to thestreet.com. Fatherhood and his three decades of marriage is also on the agenda.

While many of us only know Rob Lowe from his slew of movies in the 80's and 90's, he's done a lot since. Including writing two best-selling books. Material from "Stories I Only Tell My Friends" and "Love Life" will both be part of what Lowe will talk about in his upcoming show. Those two books are a mix between essays and an autobiography.

Lowe enjoyed writing his stories so much, he felt like the next natural step was to tell them out loud. He has said that being at his show will be like sitting around a campfire listening to to fun tales. The show only goes two nights, June 9 and 10, at the Venetian Las Vegas.

And since the show is all about reminiscing, we thought we'd look back at our favorite Rob Lowe movies. - Wendy Rush

Tommy Boy

Rob Lowe always did play a good bad boy. In this movie, he's the undercover brother who's actually scamming Tommy's rich dad.

Youngblood

This 1986 film showed us both the sporty side of Lowe and the softer side. Hockey and romance...what more do you need.

St. Elmo's Fire

Everyone loves the scene where Lowe plays saxophone in his band. Spoiler: he wasn't actually playing. That part was mimed.

Austin Powers 2

Rob Lowe played a young #2 in this classic sequel.

About Last Night

Any movie where we see Rob Lowe and Demi Moore yelling at each other in the rain is going to be a good movie night. Someone grab the popcorn.
