She has been nominated for 15 Grammy Awards, winning twice, during her illustrious career.  She won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2007.  She has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  In 2004, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and underwent surgery and chemotherapy.  The following year, she returned to the stage to perform a tribute to Janis Joplin with Joss Stone at the Grammy Awards.  She is…MELISSA ETHERIDGE!  She is an amazing performer, and you can see her live concert in the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay on Saturday night August 20th!
