It was a wicked day at Clark County’s Park and Recreation, LVMPD and Beasley Media Group’s Monster Mash Trunk or Treat event that happened on Thursday!

There’s nothing better than families enjoying themselves, listening to live music, eating great food and coming together to celebrate the upcoming holiday season.

The parking lot of The Crossings Church located at 7950 W Windmill Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89113 filled with families dressed in cute, funny and sometimes creepy costumes. Local businesses like Cameron Law – An Injury Firm, Palm Mortuary, Dignity Health and more were in attendance. Many of the businesses decorated their booths with fun decorations that glowed with Halloween delight or horror.

There were a few photo opportunities such as “Andy’s Room,” which was decorated to reflect a scene from “Toy Story.” Palm Mortuary had a fun booth and brought out their hearse, which they decorated with a few peculiar mannequins that were propped up in the front of the vehicle and in the driver’s seat. It was a scarily fun sight.

We had a blast handing out candy to everyone. We saw little pumpkin babies, a “McDonalds” family (mom was Ronald McDonald and the two children were French fries), a one-year-old in a cow costume, a few Ghostface costumes, a sprinkling of Minecraft characters and so much more.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Clark County Fire Department, and other first responders were also handing out candy, giving children tours of the ambulances and just interacting with the community.

Lines of people dressed in Halloween attire snaked across the Crossing’s parking lot. People were giddy with glee as children pushed forward bags, pillowcases and satchels growing with candy throughout the night.

DJ Thump — who was dressed as Fred Flintstone — was the DJ and “vibe” curator of the night. It was truly an interesting sight to see Michael Myers dance to Celia Cruz’s “La Vda es un Carnaval,” with a tiny Minnie Mouse.

We had a blast at this year’s Monster Mash Trunk or Treat event, and we hope everyone did too! Have a safe, fun and happy Halloween.
