Carla Rea Supplies Our Students For School With S.O.S. Drive

It was another year of Project S.O.S. for the books!

No child should have to worry about obtaining school supplies for this upcoming year.

In Clark County, our children deserve to have the supplies that suffice and exceed their educational needs.

This is why Carla Rea teamed up with Fox 5 and the Salvation Army of Southern Nevada to help collect school supplies with S.O.S.

S.O.S. stands for "Supply Our Students!" And what's the mission of this project? Well, it's to raise school supplies by placing donation centers at major places in our community. Along with these donation centers, we also had a huge party to celebrate everyone who donated!

96.3 KKLZ took over the donation centers on Friday, which was at the Fox 5 Studio. 

Once again, we want to thank all of our listeners who showed up and donated amazing items that our Clark County school children desperately need. This was a great mission, and our other sister stations also contributed. 102.7 VGS manned the donation center at Subaru of Las Vegas, and Jammin' 105.7 took over the donation center at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center.

As many of us know, being a teacher isn't easy. Many educational staff and teachers often have to shell our their own money to buy essential items for their classroom. Or, they're constraint to budgets that hardly cover anything.

These past few years have also been financially difficult for families. With the pandemic still having an affect on our society and economy, school supplies have become an extra expense that can make the start of the school year even more stressful. This is why we're committed to helping our students!
