Haunted Las Vegas Hotels Are Everywhere In The City

What do you think of when you think of Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the World? You probably think glittering lights, huge fun-filled casinos, dance clubs, partying, shopping - and the biggest shows, and entertainers in the world!

Now look beyond the glitz and glamour. There is a dark, and mysterious side to Las Vegas, that you should know about, and possibly even explore.

Las Vegas is home to quite a few haunted hotels. And each one has its own story, and, well - ghostly residents, and visitors.

Here Are A Few Of The Most Haunted Las Vegas Hotels

These are some of the most haunted hotels in Las Vegas, that just might make the hair on your neck stand up. If nothing else, they'll give you a memorable stay in Vegas. Take a chance - see what’s lurking in the shadows of some of these sin city hotels.

  • Westgate Hotel: The Westgate is located just off the Las Vegas strip. Guests of the hotel have reported seeing Elvis' Presley's ghost roaming the halls, and in their rooms. Some say they've even heard his music mysteriously playing. Elvis worked at the property when it was the International Hotel. But it makes you wonder if he really did leave the building.
  • The Luxor: Ever since The Luxor broke ground in 1992, weird things were happening there. Three construction workers died when the hotel was being built, and two allegedly jumped to their death from the interior balconies. The Nile River Ride closed down after just a few years because people said they saw their ghosts while on the ride. Also - supposedly, The Luxor was built on a burial site that Vegas mobsters used. Because there were so few buildings at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, mobsters would bury the bodies there. And of course, pyramids were built to be tombs - so, many say they were just asking for trouble.
  • Circus-Circus: This is a creepy one. Guests have reported really strange things happening in their rooms. One guest reported that the words “Help Me” were seen on a mirror, and other guests say they have heard those words being screamed. Room 123 is where a mother killed her young son. She and her son have reportedly been seen wandering the hotel. Three people who were killed in the kitchen many years ago, have also been seen by guests, and Circus-Circus staff.
  • The Flamingo:  It was Bugsy Siegel’s dream, and the Flamingo opened in 1946. It was the first luxury hotel on the very desolate Las Vegas Strip. Six months after the Flamingo opened, Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel was shot to death. Hotel guests say Siegel’s spirit has never left the property. And many claim they have seen his ghost leaving the Presidential Suite.
  • The Horseshoe (formerly Bally's and MGM): In 1980 a horrible fire tore through what was the MGM Grand Hotel. 87 people perished. The tower where the fire happened is still a part of the new hotel. Guests have said they see unusual shadows in the hallways, and hear odd noises. Many have also reported furniture mysteriously moving around hotel rooms. For ghost hunters, the professionals say, the higher you go in the tower, the more the paranormal activity there is.

The Most Haunted Las Vegas Hotel That Spooked Me

I've stayed at all of them, and I will say this - there is a vibe at the Westgate. I've worked the stages at the entertainment venues, and I've stayed in the rooms on several occasions. No blue suede shoes, but there is definitely a vibe.

As in so many cases of ghosts, and paranormal activity, there is probably a logical explanation for all of the happenings at these haunted Las Vegas hotels. But who really knows?

5 Of The Best Halloween TV Episodes Of All-Time

What are the best Halloween TV episodes of all-time? There are a lot to choose from!

It seems like basically every show has done a Halloween episode. At least one Halloween episode I should say. Many shows have done several and they usually end up being fantastic. But what are the best of the best? With so many out there is it possible to narrow it down to just 5? I'm going to give it my best shot, be ready for a lot of sitcoms.

What Are The Best Halloween TV Episodes Of All-Time?

When you think of Halloween TV episodes, you probably think about The Simpsons and its incredibly Treehouse Of Horror episodes. There have been many and fans seem to love them all. Because there are so many and they're all so good I have decided to leave them off the list. It wouldn't be fair to the other shows. Maybe one time I can do a separate list for the best Treehouse Of Horror episodes on their own. So, if you're expecting them on the list you're going to be let down. I have to say it again, yes, they deserve to be on the list but they're simply too good.

Other animated shows have done great Halloween episodes too. South Park has a good one where they make fun of how outdated and haunted Blockbuster is. That was a good one. Family Guy has also done some Halloween episodes that were really funny. Stewie dressed up as a duck was adorable! However, even though I love those episodes and I am a huge fan of both of those shows neither one ended up making the list. I thought there were bigger and better Halloween TV episodes out there so they'll remain Honorable Mentions. In fact, no animated show ended up making the final 5 on my list. Again, it's just my list and it's not definitive. If you have a problem with it, you can let me know and I can consider changing it. I reserve that right.

So, if those big episodes didn't make the list? What did? Find out below! I list my 5 favorite Halloween episodes of all-time. Did your favorite make the list? Are you upset that your favorite was left out and unmentioned? Let me know! I'm probably missing some good ones that even I love and just happened to forget about. Ready to check out the list? Let's get to it!

Boy Meets World - "And Then There Was Shawn"

The Halloween episode "And Then There Was Shawn" from Boy Meets World is one of the best Halloween TV episodes ever. It's funny, it's kind of scary, and it has a good plot. It's almost like a mini movie. Fans of the show will love it and it can exist independently. There are so many quotes. It's one of the best episodes of the show, too. It's great and a must-watch.

The Office - "Halloween"

There were several Halloween episodes on The Office. All of them were enjoyable. However, the first one in Season 2 had to be the best. Michael has to fire someone and they're all dressed up. It makes for some outstanding comedy. You really get to know Michael in the episode.

That 70s Show - "Halloween"

That 70s Show had a great Halloween episode in Season 2. It was called "Halloween." It played off several famous comedies from the era. The references are great and it's well shot and always funny. It was always one of my favorite shows and this was one of my favorite episodes. How could you not love Fez?

How I Met Your Mother - "The Slutty Pumpkin"

I don't think How I Met Your Mother gets enough love. Sure, maybe people didn't love the finale. But there were some great episodes along the way! Including an iconic Halloween episode with "The Slutty Pumpkin." I always relate a lot to Ted and his desperation for true love. That was always me. This episode shows who Ted is and I like him (because he reminds me of myself). Hard to believe this was Season 1!

Modern Family - "Open House Of Horrors"

Finally, we have Modern Family. They did several Halloween episodes as well but the one that stands out has to be "Open House Of Horrors." It wasn't an easy pick because they're all so good but this has always been my favorite. Claire loves Halloween and all things scary while Phil does not. She tries to scare him at work on Halloween and she succeeds...after a lot of effort. It's great and I love the house that Phil is trying to sell. I want it.
