Why More People Do This When Asked For Their Signature
A lot of people have practiced over and over when signing their name. But why are more people actually doing this when asked for their signature? It’s a question that The Mike & Carla Morning Show would love to know!
According to a recent survey by YouGov, come to find out that when someone asks for a “signature” more and more people are just scribbling! Yep! Just drawing a squiggly line!
In this day and age where more and more people have electronic signatures, we come to find out that more and more kids don’t even know how to write in cursive! There might be where the problem lies.
Why More People Do This When Asked For Their Signature
On the one side, close to 70% of those that replied, say they do sign their name and take pride in it. However, nearly 20% are not ashamed to admit they just scribble!
According to the poll, many say it’s just because they’re asked to sign on these small “signature” screens. Like at the store, restaurant, and quite a few other places.
Think about it, do you really think they care what you sign? Just take the electronic pen, scribble something and it seems like you’re good to go!
There was a time where you took pride in signing something. Your signature was important and, like we said at the top of this post, we took time to practice spelling out our name. It was very important to be able to read it.
Times are changing of course…in that credit card companies aren’t even asking you to sign your name. Maybe they know they’re not going to be able to read it anyway.
Some site the fact that writing is not really taught in schools anymore. They might be the reason for the decline in penmanship.
Or maybe we’ve just gotten lazy! Take the pen, scribble out something…there ya go, DONE!
