A Las Vegas brunch spot was just named as having the #1 brunch in America.

Yelp published a list of "Top 100 Brunch Spots" for 2024. This list compiled reviews from brunch spots across the country. According to Yelp, their "methodology" when creating this list focused on reviews that mentioned "brunch" and "Mother's days."

After that, the Yelp writers included factors like the total volume of ratings in the past three years. They also limited the number of businesses per state for "geographic diversity," along with passing health scores, etc.

Brunch is a great business, too. According to the Washington Post, "Data from Google Trends show that search interest in brunch has been rising steadily since 2004."

Brunch has turned into a social experience with many brunch spots offering live music, alcoholic beverage flights and fun promotions.

Las Vegas Brunch Spot Won "First Place" On Yelp's List Of Best Brunches 2024

The spot that took home the title for "best brunch" in the U.S. is Toasted Gastrobrunch.

Toasted Gastrobrunch has two locations: 9516 W Flamingo Rd #100, Las Vegas, NV 89147 and 7345 Arroyo Crossing Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 89118.

According to the article from Yelp, some of the most popular items include: "Red Velvet Pancakes, Green Monster Bloody Marys, and Eggs in Purgatory (sunny-side-up egg atop a sourdough bread bowl filled with tomato shakshuka sauce, mushrooms, and feta)."

Other delicious items on the menu include delicious Shrimp and Grits, Coffee Cake Pancakes, and the Elvis French Toast, which is brioche, bananas, peanut butter, bacon, and honey (essentially taking Elvis' favorite sandwich and turning it into a beautiful French toast).

The classic Monte Cristo is another stunning dish with smoked turkey, brioche, swiss cheese, jam and powdered sugar. The Southern Fried Chicken Benny has crispy chicken paired with cheddar cornbread, garlic spinach, bechamel, scallions and a poached egg.

You also don't want to miss out on the desserts. The Coconut Pistachio Kkanafee is a dish with shredded phyllo, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, coconut, orange blossom syrup, and toasted brioche with a pistachio topping. You may think that the mozzarella cheese would throw this dessert off. But, the creamy cheese pairs well with the sweet phyllo dough, shredded coconut, and sticky orange syrup.

What's a Las Vegas Brunch Without Drinks?

Along with the delicious food at Toasted Gastropub, the drinks complete this brunch experience. You can get the classic bottomless mimosas. But, there are other variations like a Creamsicle Mimosa that includes orange juice, vanilla and sparkling wine. The Pineapple Mimosa has caramelized pineapples and sparkling wine. The Prickly Pear Mimosa also contains prickly pear syrup and sparkling wine, which sounds refreshing and quenching.

If you're in the mood for a bellini then you can enjoy a white peach flavor, a paradise pear flavor or a blood orange one.

Toasted's bloody marys further solidify why this eatery won the #1 spot for having the best Las Vegas brunch.

The house Gastrobrunch Mary includes house bloody mary mix, stuffed olive, lemon, celery and a house rim. The Green Monster includes green bloody mix, shrimp, roasted jalapeño, bacon, stuffed olive and a smoked salt rim.

To top off the bloody mary selection the Red Monster is the house bloody mix with lime, shrimp, roasted jalapeño, bacon, stuffed olive and a tajin rim.

5 Great Happy Hours In Las Vegas: Keeping It Simple And Cheap

Where are the best happy hours in Las Vegas?

It's always five o'clock somewhere, right? Especially in Las Vegas. But when it comes to happy hour, let's face - you want a bargain. You want to save a little money on that drink, and those nachos.

Happy Hour Like A Las Vegas Local

The Las Vegas Strip isn’t exactly known for its bargains these days. Gone are the days of cheap drinks, and 99 cent shrimp cocktails. So let's leave the Las Vegas Strip, and be a true local.

There are some great happy hours in Las Vegas, and you don't have to go anywhere near the strip. Some of your favorite restaurants offer a great happy hour, that you may not have even known about.

In Las Vegas, restaurants with some of the best happy hour menus are no where near the Las Vegas Strip. They are in neighborhoods, strip malls, or your favorite brewery. Yes, of course, many resort restaurants have happy hours. But as a local, we're not going to the strip, or even necessarily a casino -unless we have to. Or, those cousins are visiting from Milwaukee, and they have to get a yard of margarita, and see the KISS street performers, in ass-less chaps.

Thank The US Navy For Happy Hour

You can thank the US Navy for Happy Hour. In the 1920s, after World War I, happy hours were periods of time on naval ships where sailors could participate in relaxing activities, so they could remove themselves from the toll of life at sea. Those activities were supposed to be morale boosting - mostly boxing, and other athletics.

Of course the US was in the midst of prohibition. But Americans got around that (shhhhh) by going to speakeasies to get a drink before dinner. Happy hour as we know it today!

Here Are 5 Great Happy Hours In Las Vegas

These are just 5 of the better happy hours in Las Vegas - at least some of my favorites. Remember though, happy hour deals change often, so be sure to check the restaurant’s website or social media for updates before popping in for a drink.

Las Vegas Brewing Company - 3101 North Tenaya Way

Great 'hoppy' hour specials include $5 LVBC drafts, $13 LVBC flights, $5 house wine, $6 well drinks. Sloppy Joe Sliders, fried pickles - that are AWESOME - and a really great "pubcuterie." I'm not the biggest beer drinker, but this place has some of the best beers in Las Vegas. Do a flight, and try a few!

The Spot - 8410 W. Desert Inn

The Spot has some GREAT food! And one of their favorites, and mine, is offered on their happy hour menu - their pork belly burnt ends. YUM!!!! Six chicken wings for $8. Happy hour is in the bar only, of course, and they do it from 3pm-6pm, AND again at 9pm-close.

Cheesecake Factory - 750 S. Rampart (several locations in Las Vegas)

Yes, the Cheesecake Factory. They have always had a great happy hour menu! Sliders, pot stickers, hot pretzel bites, spinach and cheese dip, fried zucchini, a happy hour burger, and tons more. Several delightful cocktails for $8.50, draft beers $4.95, bottled beer $3.95. Seriously - you can't go wrong! Try the fried zucchini - just like my grandma's!

Lazy Dog - Downtown Summerlin/1725 Festival Plaza Dr. (two locations in Las Vegas, and a new one on the way)

Lazy Dog is just a fun place overall - and you can bring your dog! Happy hour lettuce wraps, crispy brussels sprouts, buffalo cauliflower. $4 wine, $1 off their draft beers. Woof!

Echo & Rig Steakhouse - Tivoli Village/440 Rampart Boulevard

Echo & Rig is one of the best off strip steakhouses in Las Vegas, and in my opinion - still fairly reasonable. Their happy hour food menu is small, but mighty! A $3 Hotdog - the best hot dog ever! $4 Steak and egg, and Butcher fries with prime steak, homemade teriyaki, and scallions. Half off all draft & bottled beers, half off premium well liquor, $5 house wine, and always a $3 cocktail! It's great, but get there early, it gets busy!
