Styx Book 5-Night Engagement In Las Vegas
If this sounds like something you’d love to see tickets go on sale Friday, September 20th at 10am and are expected to start around $45. The shows are expected to start at 8:30pm so it’s not too late, it’s the perfect start time for a date night out on the town.
If you’re a fan of their hit 1977 album The Grand Illusion you’ll definitely want to see at least one of these shows. The band will be playing the album in its entirety, so that means you’ll get to hear hit songs like “Come Sail Away” guaranteed! Then, the band will also be playing the rest of their classic hits during the shows as well. So, if that album isn’t your go-to then you’ll still get to hear their hits and the songs you know.

Who Are Styx?
Styx is an American band that started in Chicago, Illinois. They were one of the biggest bands of the ’70s and early ’80s. They’re probably best known for songs like “Lady,” “Renegade,” and “Come Sail Away.” Personally, I can’t help but think of Adam Sandler’s hit comedy Big Daddy whenever I listen to Styx because his character, Sonny, in the movie is really into the band and is constantly bringing them up. They even play some of their songs during the movie, or at least one.
Getting to see them at The Venetian in Las Vegas would be an amazing show. Sure, it’s not The Sphere but it’s still an incredible venue in its own right. You can’t go wrong! Styx aren’t the only rock band who are going to be spending some extended time in Vegas. The Eagles will have several residencies at The Sphere including runs from September 20th-28th, October 11th-19th, November 1st-9th, and December 6th-14th. Other residencies (outside of rock) that are coming up include Garth Brooks (The Colosseum), Lionel Richie (Encore Theater), and Carrie Underwood (Resorts World Theatre).
