Rick Springfield And Richard Marx In Vegas: What To Expect
Two iconic 80’s musicians are coming to Las Vegas for what is sure to be an unforgettable concert. Rick Springfield and Richard Marx will be performing an exclusive acoustic show at the Pearl Theater at the Palms Casino Resort for one night only, on Saturday night, August 17, 2024.
An Acoustic Evening With Rick Springfield And Richard Marx
The show will highlight the musical ability of both artists, known mostly for their solo work in the 1980’s. Rick Springfield had a string of solo hits, including “Jessie’s Girl” and “Don’t Talk To Strangers”. He also gained fame as a television heartthrob in his role as Noah Drake on General Hospital. Springfield also appeared briefly on other popular shows, including The Six Million Dollar Man in 1977 and The Rockford Files in 1978. As a musician, Springfield earned a Grammy Award in 1981 for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. And followed that success with four more top ten hits in the United States.
Springfield will no doubt bring those hits to this acoustic performance. Besides “Jessie’s Girl” and “Don’t Talk To Strangers”, fans can also probably expect “I’ve Done Everything For You” and “An Affair of the Heart”. Since Springfield’s hits did not chart in acoustic versions, the show will be something unique for the audience.
Springfield alone is always a treat for music-lovers, but Rick Springfield and Richard Marx together on the same stage will be even more so. Marx got his start in the music world as a songwriter. His first success was with 1984’s “What About Me”, which was recorded by Kim Carnes, Kenny Rogers, and James Ingram. His first hit as a singer came with “Don’t Mean Nothing” from Marx’s 1987 self-titled debut album. Marx had three #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Including “Hold Onto The Nights”, “Right Here Waiting”, and “Satisfied”.
Richard Marx has been contributing to his “Living Room Sessions” on YouTube for several years. Reminding fans that on guitar or piano, this guy still brings it to everything he does in music. And his voice is just as rich as it was in the 80’s.
Rick Springfield and Richard Marx together in one show is going to be an unforgettable night. Both musicians have a passion and energy that connects to the crowd. And a collective repertoire of hits that will bring them back to the glory days of the past.
Along with their own hits, the setlist for Rick Springfield and Richard Marx in previous performances has also included songs from Sammy Hagar, Lionel Richie, Vertical Horizon, and the Beatles. Doors open at 7 p.m. Show starts at 8 p.m.
