What Did You Finally Find After All These Years

It sometimes takes a while, but what did you recently find after all these years? Big or small, it just made you smile. That's what The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to know this morning.

It all started when Carla Rea found two fives in her pocket! Now that's the way to start off the morning. On the other hand, and it might be a coincidence, but Mike O'Brian put on a pair of shorts and found a couple of singles.

Understood, neither one going out to a fancy restaurant, but hey, a couple of bucks is a couple of bucks right? A great way to start off the day. So, what is it you found recently that just put a smile on your face?

Now on Angi, they posted an article on tips to help you find things that you've lost over the years. This might be a good to read before you even start. The first thing the article suggests is to take a deep breath where you are standing.

This will help you relax and focus. As you read the article, it gives you even more tips to help locate that lost thing! Hey, anything that helps right?

But The M&C Morning Show wanted to know what listeners had finally found after years of being lost. Some listeners who called in actually said that they had forgotten they lost it when it was finally found.

Everything from pictures to cold hard cash were found by unsuspecting listeners. They actually had forgotten most of these items had gone missing...so you can imagine the surprise when they were found!

One story really was amazing at what one woman found even after her husband had passes. Something she knew nothing about, but yet when she discovered it, she was SHOCKED (shocked)!

Took a fun, unique little hike this past weekend with my besties. It's called Rubber Ducky Trail.  It's a nice out and back - or longer, depending on how you decide to explore it. It can be enjoyed by most ages and fitness types. Carla Rea, from The Mike & Carla Morning Show, is an avid hiker on the weekends!

The story is that there was a branch of this Joshua tree that overhung the trail used by mountain bikers.  Someone hung a rubber ducky from the branch (which is no longer there) to remind bikers to "duck!"  Since then, visitors from all over have brought rubber duckies to hang from the tree.

To access the hike, park at the Late Night Trailhead off of SR 160 on the way to Pahrump.  You'll start the hike to the rubber ducky tree on the trail that is to the right of the sign about the Old Spanish Trail.  Follow it you get to a dirt road (about half a mile), cross the road, and follow the trail on the other side of the road.  Soon you'll see signs that point to the Rubber Ducky trail so just follow those until you get to the tree.

Make it fun and bring a small rubber ducky with you to leave behind. Write the date, and something witty, on it!

Getting to the tree is only about a mile - so 2 miles round trip. But we spent more time on the trail,  which I suggest doing, because there are amazing views of Red Rock canyon that you'll get the farther along you go.

By the way, this is very popular with mountain bikers. They are very aware of hikers, so try to be aware of them as well.

In my opinion - the happiest hike in Las Vegas!
