Las Vegas Substitute Arrested After Alleged Inappropriate Note Passing To Student
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrested a former Clark County School District employee after officials allegedly found inappropriate notes to a 14-year-old student.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, 44-year-old Nicholas Bott worked at Ernest A Becker Sr Middle School as a Las Vegas substitute teacher. He’s been employed by the district since 2016.
8 News Now reports the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrested Bott on May 16. Bott faces felony charges of “child abuse or neglect and a gross misdemeanor of contact with a minor or person with mental illness.”
Las Vegas Substitute Teacher Allegedly Told Officials He Was ‘Infatuated’ With Student
According to the Review-Journal, Bott wrote notes to a 14-year-old student. These notes allegedly contained inappropriate material, such as Bott saying he sensed a connection, that the victim was “mature,” and that his “heart skipped a beat,” the first time Bott saw the student. Bott also allegedly said in the notes that he was “making” himself “vulnerable” and even shared contact information with the student.
Former CCSD Employee Said He Was ‘Stuck With How Pretty The Girl Was’
The Las Vegas Review-Journal further reported that Bott emailed school officials. He allegedly said he was “stuck with how pretty the girl was,” and he was infatuated with her.
Multiple outlets report that CCSD removed him from the substitute teaching pool and that he’s ” no longer eligible to substitute in the District.”
June 20 is marked for Bott’s appearance in the Clark County Justice Court, according to Fox 5.

Another Las Vegas Teacher Arrested For ‘Felony Child Abuse or Neglect’
On May 17, LVMPD arrested another teacher 33-year-old Eryka Westover as a suspect regarding a child abuse case.
8 News Now reported that on April 1, police were alerted that a teacher allegedly abused a student at a learning institute at the 9000 block of Hillpointe Road near North Rampart and West Lake Mead boulevards.
Westover faces felony child abuse or neglect charges, according to Channel 13.
