New Las Vegas Show Keeps Joan Rivers Alive
New Las Vegas Show Keeps Joan Rivers Alive
There’s a new Las Vegas show that will Joan Rivers alive a bit longer.
New Las Vegas Show Keeps Joan Rivers Alive Through Frank Marino
Like Elvis, Joan Rivers will remain in Las Vegas for a long time. Frank Marino has kept her alive, and is keeping her alive with his newest show: “Divas, Drag & Drinks.” It is off the Las Vegas strip at Virgin Hotels’ 24 Oxford. The show returns April 7, 4pm. And as of now will run through the end of the year.
Frank Marino has impersonated Rivers, for almost 40 years in Las Vegas, beginning in the mid 80’s with “Evening at La Cage,” at the Riviera. I used to see the show regularly when I worked at the Riviera Comedy Club, and it was a lot of fun. And it became quite a fixture in Las Vegas, and very much a must-see.
Marino took Joan to the Linq Hotel in “Divas Las Vegas,” and also in “Legends” at the Tropicana in 2019. Marino also did a drag-brunch at the Westgate for a short while. And all the while, he’s been portraying his version of Joan Rivers. And now he has a new show, keeping her alive in Las Vegas – as well as many others.
New Cast Of Characters In “Divas, Drag & Drinks” Has More Appeal
“Divas, Drag & Drinks” at Virgin Hotels, features stars from all different generations. Some of the characters in the latest show include Rihanna, Pink, Beyonce, Cher, and Britney. Marino told the
Las Vegas Review Journal, that the show has a younger vibe now, and the characters have a much larger appeal. A good thing, because a lot of younger demos weren’t as familiar with some of those old mainstays. Or just didn’t care.
Frank Marino is one of the longest running headliners in Las Vegas, and has been a part of the Las Vegas entertainment landscape for decades. And it’s always a good time seeing Frank – as Joan.
Tickets for “Divas, Drag & Drinks” come with a free drink. They start at $49, and you can get them
