The Palms Casino Resort pool will be rockin’ all summer long. That’s because the “Red Rocker,” Sammy Hagar, is about to make one of his dreams come true. Sammy’s Island will be a tropical pool getaway featuring live music, delicious food, and tantalizing cocktails. Mark your calendar for Friday, May 17, 2024. That’s when Sammy’s Island debuts in Las Vegas.

Hagar Brings His Successful Baja Beach Lifestyle To Las Vegas

Apparently, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar has been dreaming about this concept for years. Of course, he’s not only a successful rock star, but also a successful entrepreneur.

He broke into the restaurant and bar business in 1990 when he opened Cabo Wabo Cantina. Now he also has the Cabo Wabo Beach Club. In addition, there’s Sammy’s Beach Bar and Grill, now open in Las Vegas, Cleveland, Maui, and Honolulu airports.

Here's What You Can Expect At Sammy’s Island In The Palms Pool Area

At this point, Hagar wants to combine the best of all of his previous spots into a new Las Vegas oasis at Sammy Island. It’s all coming together at the newly redesigned Palms Resort and Casino pool area.

As you might expect, Hagar’s newest venture will feature plenty of cabanas and daybeds. In fact, there will be four very special Red Rocker Cabanas. Additionally, there will be a pool island for sun worshippers to catch some rays.

Adults can sip on mezcal at the Tequileria or enjoy a tropical cocktail at The Tiki Bar. Without a doubt, music will be a huge part of Hagar’s new pool area oasis. Live DJ’s spinning tunes all day. When the sun goes down, the lights come up on the poolside stage for live concerts.

Not to mention the delicious munchies Sammy’s Island poolside restaurant will be serving up all day long. Enjoy a Baja Breakfast Burrito early in the day. Later on, savor a Veracruz Chopped Salad for lunch. If you love seafood, indulge in a Poke Bowl.

Of course, the menu will also feature favorites like chicken wings, burgers, nachos, tacos, and wraps.

Van Halen, Led Zeppelin And More At Sammy Hagar Concert

Sammy Hagar and The Circle are coming to Las Vegas this summer.

Hagar was just in Vegas last year. He performed his solo show at a residency at the STRAT. Now he's back with his band, The Circle, to rock out for one night only. The show is going to be at Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort on July 15th.

The band line-up is star-studded.

Hagar is bringing with him Vic Johnson (guitar), Michael Anthony (bass) and Jason Bonham (drums). Johnson is known for his work with The Busboys and Hagar's former band, The Waboritas. Before that he was a session musician and a member of the heavy metal band Sound Barrier.

Of course we know Michael Anthony best for his work with Van Halen. He was inducted with the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his tenure as bassist. He met Hagar during that Van Hagar era of Van Halen and the two have been working on and off ever since.

Then we have Jason Bonham. Son of the legendary John Bonham. Like his late father before him, Jason Bonham has played drums for Led Zeppelin for several years. Jason is one of those savant kids. He's been rocking the drum kit since he was five years old. Definitely an awesome addition to The Circle.

When it comes to the setlist, get ready for some rocking variety.

Since Sammy Hagar and The Circle has members from Led Zepplin, Van Halen and Montrose, you can expect hits from all three bands. Additionally, Hagar will bring some of his solo hits to the stage. It's going to be like four concerts in one. And it's going to be awesome. Grab your tickets (or win them this week on KKLZ) and get ready to move. Here's what you can look forward to. - Wendy
