When the announcement was made that the Oakland A's would become the Las Vegas Athletics, nothing has been for certain. We finally have renderings of what seems to be the final look of the stadium.

Here's The New Las Vegas A's Stadium

The news broke and immediately the franchise started looking at multiple locations to build a ballpark in the Vegas Valley. After months of debate, it was announced that the Tropicana Hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana would be the final location to build it. The Tropicana Hotel then announced that April 2nd, 2024 would be the day they close their doors.

At first they sent out renderings of what they thought would be what people could expect to see when built. 8 News Now reported on the first rendering of the stadium. Governor Joe Lombardo announced that the price of the stadium would be around $1.5 Billion. He also announced how much the state will contribute to it. But was this all finalized? Nope. Not even close.

We Lied, Here's The New Stadium!

When the newest rendering of the stadium as released, unknown to the public, people were split on their opinions on it.

The first thought that came to most peoples minds when seeing the renderings was the Sydney Opera House. The property that the Tropicana Hotel is on is about 35 acres but the ballpark is saying it will only take up nine acres of that 35. What will the rest of the land be used for? If you're like me, you're probably thinking the stadium will be much bigger than nine acres.

The new stadium is confirmed to hold 33,000 people and won't have a retractable roof or outfield. The original rendering showed the stadium having a retractable roof. But if they're thinking what you and I are thinking, baseball season is during the hottest parts of the year in Vegas. Nothing like playing nine plus innings in 105 degree heat. Seems like they want to prevent that. The new stadium also shows a giant screen on one of the archways. This will be the biggest screen in any baseball stadium.

Along side the stadium, they plan build a resort close to it. They also will have 2,500 parking stalls around the stadium. If you're wanting to buy season tickets or inquire about getting tickets for the A's, once they make their move to Las Vegas, you can CLICK HERE to get more info sent to you when available.

And if you want to hear what some locals are saying about it, listen to the segment below and enjoy!

The Best And Worst Mascots In Major League Baseball

Major League Baseball's opening day will be here sooner than later! For fun, someone created a poll on the best and worst mascots in the Major League!

They're just as beloved or hated by the teams fans! They even have their own Hall of Fame, which was created back in 2005. To date, only seven MLB team mascots have been inducted into it, beating out mascots from all sports! Several other MLB mascots have been nominated since it's creation in 2005.

There are only three MLB teams that don't have one. The L.A. Dodgers, N.Y. Yankee's, and the Anaheim Angels! So what is their job exactly?  To entertainment but really to cater to young children and help market the team.

For this poll, one-thousand people were shown head-to-head mascot matchups. The results were tabulated based on which ones got the best votes across the board.

Coming in dead last, at twenty-seventh place is Swinging Friar from the San Diego Padres! But who topped the list of best and worst? Below are the top five results!

Top 5 Mascots In Major League Baseball

#5. Mr Met From The New York Mets

We just don't get this...it's a baseball player with a baseball as it's head! Hmmmmm...don't have a problem with it, we just don't get it. For that reason, it's #5 on the list!
