It’s happening – one of Las Vegas’s own, and favorite bands, announced their residency. They’re coming home!
The Killers Come Home To Las Vegas
The Killers will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Hot Fuss’. The album launched the band’s success with the hit songs s “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me.” It will be the first time they’ve played the album in its entirety.
The band – frontman and lead vocals, Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning on guitar, Mark Stoermer on bass, and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr – will return home. They will settle into an eight date residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Dates for The Killers Las Vegas Residency: August 14, 16, 17, 21, 23, 24, 28, and 30. A ticket pre-sale for fan club members, and for Citi card members will be January 24 through January 26. General ticket sales start on January 27.
The band announced their residency on X, and said “it’s good to be home.”
Before The Killers head home, the will be doing the ‘Rebel Diamonds’ (the latest album from the band) UK tour. Sixteen dates throughout the UK and Ireland. Then it’s back to where it all started.
Las Vegas residents are very excited, and have been hoping for a return show from The Killers for a long time. Instead, we’re getting EIGHT shows from them.
Las Vegas Bands Have Done Very Well
There are several bands out of Las Vegas that have really made their mark over the last couple decades: Imagine Dragons, Panic! At The Disco, Five Finger Death Punch. And back in the day – Slaughter and Dino. Come on. Don’t tell me you don’t remember Slaughter’s “Fly To The Angels“ and Dino’s “Summer Girls.”
It’s always been fun to support our local bands. But The Killers, and those mentioned above, have gone far beyond being popular local bands. They have gone on to be huge bands, and shows, globally.
We’re all just glad they haven’t forgotten us.
