It might be a bit chilly here in Las Vegas, but in Chicago, Tesla owners are finding it hard to start their cars! Oh yeah, we might be a little cold for us that live here, but in Chicago, were it's only 8 degrees in the morning, Tesla owners are finding it a little difficult to charge up their cars!

The Mike & Carla Morning Show started talking about this problem this morning. Some listeners with Teslas started to call in saying that in the overnight hours, it takes a little longer to charge up the car. But nothing compared to what they are going through in Chicago!

People Finding It Hard To Start Their Tesla!

According to a report from Fox32, some say that they can't even charge their car in the freezing temps! Waking up, getting ready for work and find out that their car didn't take the charge. This is creating long lines at charging stations throughout the area!

Growing up back in the Midwest, Mike O'Brian talked about warming his car. Getting up and out of bed, cracking the garage door just a bit, then starting up the car. Afterward, going back inside to shower and get ready for work. By then, the car was normally ready to go.

Carla Rea, growing up in Northern Nevada, and although not as cold as in the Midwest, but people putting blankets on their car hoods. Yeah, like that would actually keep them warm...but it's true. Everyone in cold weather areas have their own theories on how to care for their car in the winter time!

Listen to the segment this morning as reported by Fox32, people talking about how it sucks with no car in the winter. There is also a bit of advice from a guy with the Chicago Auto Trade Association.

All in all, not really that bad here in Las Vegas when you consider everything weather-wise!

Geekiest Cities, Where Las Vegas Ranks

It seems that you can actually be a "geek" anywhere, but what are the geekiest cities in the country... where does Las Vegas rank? Before we get to that, you should know that someone actually took the time to find out. With four different categories as guidelines, it seems that Las Vegas is up there!

The four categories being how easy it is to access geeky collectibles. They also factored in geeky costumes and geeky events and other geeks who are into the same stuff as you. Now you might be or might not be surprised where we actually rank. The results of the study published by Lawn Love to mark "Embrace Your Geekness Day" last Thursday.

Las Vegas is of the "Geekiest" cities in the Country!

We have no doubt there were quite a few people celebrating here, considering what you see up and down the strip and downtown. Oh, there are people all over the city celebrating their "geekness" 24/7 and proud of it! And why not right? If you have the chance to be a little different and proud, then stand up and celebrate! Especially when you have you're own day.

Making it into the Top 10 are a few cities that you might not expect. Indianapolis, Indiana for example...Midwest, fairly easy going people that keep to themselves. Another city that made the Top 10 that surprised us was Austin, Texas. A college town with a lot of "live" music places that just doesn't seek to yell "geek" when you think of it. But clearly there is something to both of these cities that we are unaware of.

At the other end of the spectrum, some of the least "geekiest" cities... 4 of the Top 5 cities are in Texas. No shocker there...however, you should know that North Las Vegas makes the Top 5 when it comes to being very "un-geeky"! Others in the area also include Palmdale, California and West Valley City, Utah.

So, let's get to the Top 5 and see where Las Vegas actually ranks...scroll down and see for yourself!

The Top 5 "Geekiest" Cities in the Country!

#5 LAS VEGAS

Well, that didn't take very long! Right off the bat it seems that Las Vegas is one geeky city! And again, when you consider what you see up and down the strip. Including what you witness downtown, surprised we weren't ranked higher!

#4 CHICAGO

A little surprised by this one. Everyone thinks Chicago is one tough, blue collar town, but guess what? It also has a way to find it's "geekiness" when it has to! Telling us that this city will allow you to be you! #4 on the list!

#3 SAN ANTONIO

Even more shocking than Chicago being #4 is San Antonio being #3 on the list. Maybe we're being unfair since we've never been. Just doesn't seem like a city that would let you get your "geek" on...but clearly we are WRONG! You go San Antonio!

#2 LOS ANGELES

This is really no surprise to any of us...Los Angeles is #2 on the list! They say you can find just about everything in the city of angels and we guess that includes your "geekiness"! Good for them right?
