Henderson All Set For Battle Of The Bands

Growing up, it was the cool thing and now The City of Henderson is ready to rock with a "Battle of the Bands" on Water Street!  Yep, it is happening at the end of March right there on Water Street! Bands have already submitted their videos and the finalists have been notified. It comes down to Saturday night, March 30th. Who will walk away with the grand prize.

Growing up in a small midwestern town, it was the cool thing to do...support your favorite local band! No matter where they were playing, you showed up. Well, this will be no different as various bands will compete for cash prizes and the banner of "WINNER!" Five bands will be selected for that final show down and there are two categories.

Category 1:  All bandmembers under 21 years of age

Category 2: Band includes any members over 21 years of age

The first category will duke it out for a cash prize of $500, while the second category winner will hope to win $1500! A lot of money on the line for the winner. So, this year, the guidelines for voting is very specific! Quality of Performance, Originality, Interaction with the audience, and more.

This event is being held at the Water Street Plaza Amphitheater from 2p-8p and it's absolutely FREE! Once the finalists are announced, we will let you know! But plan on a great day of music outdoors in the sunshine in Henderson!

This will be the 4th Annual Battle of the Bands and it should be awesome!

Listen, there's nothing better than LIVE music and even better yet, it's all LOCAL! We have no doubt that there will be different genres represented. So, reserve the date and mark it on your calendar...the City of Henderson is getting ready to rock!

Vegas locals know that the city is expanding and more people are moving to areas outside of Summerlin and Henderson. Inspirada, located in the south-west part of Henderson, has become a sought out area for many families since it's initial open in 2007. If you're not familiar, it's about a 20 minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip going towards the M Hotel.

KB Homes, is leading the charge on building an environmentally-friendly development with "inspired living in mind." According to their website, their goal is to build a community with open walking trails, community centers, picnic areas and other leisurable amenities. Four other home builders are making Inspirada a dream paradise including: Beazer Homes, Century Communities, Toll Brothers and Pardee Homes.

As the development is expanding a new brunch location has opened called, Breakfast Junkies. This new dine-in restaurant is located at 3239 Bicentennial Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89044. They opened their doors on January 26, 2023.

The inside is very open and modern. The ceiling has rope-tied chandeliers, and the sitting area has natural wood tables and brown comfy chairs. They have a new DJ every weekend to provide background music for a perfect brunch.

Their menu has typical breakfast options including skillets, omelets, bennies, toasts and more. They also have a unique twist that many are buzzed about. For customers 21+ of course, they have "Breakfast Shots" which are shots that taste like your favorite breakfast meals.

Customers can get any three shots in a fight for $22. For our "influencers" out there, very much an Instagram-able moment.

The new brunch spot is open seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
